Full-Day Kindergarten
Carlsbad Unified is launching a Full-Day Kindergarten Pilot at Jefferson and Hope Elementary Schools beginning in the 2025–2026 school year. All kindergarten classes at both pilot schools will follow the extended-day schedule.
Registration information is available below, with a program overview available on the district website.
The first day of school for the 2025/26 School Year is Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Transitional Kindergarten
What is Transitional Kindergarten?
Transitional Kindergarten is a public school program for age-eligible students. It is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program. In 2026-2027, students turning 4 by September 1, 2026 will be eligible to attend TK.
