2025-2026 Mandatory Annual Registration/Residency Verification
Registration/Residency Verification will be ONLINE ONLY via Parent Portal in August.

ALL NEW and RETURNING families are required to complete the Annual Registration & Residency Verification process before students’ class assignments or schedules will be released. Please log in to your CUSD Aeries Portal to complete Data Confirmation between July 31-August 9, 2025.
Data Confirmation must be completed before your schools registration days.
- ADDRESS CHANGE: If you have moved, your address must be changed by a school official and you will be required to provide two forms of residency verification.
- Middle school and high school students who have had a change of address must bring their proofs of residency to their registration day.

Elementary families should contact their schools to request an address change.

SHARED HOUSING: If a parent and child(ren) are living with someone in a residence other than their own (shared housing), contact the school office to make an appointment to provide proof of residency documents and to sign the Shared Housing Form with the primary resident.
K-5 Enrollment & Registration
The first day of school for the 2025/26 School Year is Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
To enroll a new student or an incoming Kinder student, please upload ALL of the below documents to Aeries AIR Online Enrollment.
To enroll for kindergarten, a child must be five years old on or before September 1st.
Once all required items have been received, a confirmation email will be sent to you with final instructions. If you are not able to provide all listed items, enrollment will not be complete, and we will not be able to update our database until you are able to do so.
Access our online school locator to view district boundary maps. To display your assigned schools, please enter your home address, including the city and state, into the search box at the top of the screen.

Enrollments for TK have the same requirements as for Kindergarten. Please refer to the checklist above.
If your child is currently enrolled in Preschool or TK at a CUSD public school and will be attending Kindergarten in Carlsbad next year, you do not need to complete a new enrollment. To enroll, please email us at office.hope@carlsbadusd.net and include the following:
- Child's Full Name
- Current CUSD school
- Completed Kinder Questionnaire
- Updated Immunization Record (Please be sure they have all vaccines required for Kinder as listed above)
- 1 Recent Proof of Residency
If you share your home with someone (i.e. parents, in-laws, friend, etc.), you will need all of the following to prove residency for enrollments:
- Two Proofs of Residency in the homeowner's name dated within 30 days
- Two Proofs of Residency in your name dated within 30 days
- Copy of both your driver's license and the homeowner's driver's license
- Completed Shared Housing Form
